Actor Too Much of Junka Town fame is not happy about the innovation being employed by modern sellers to package Waakye.
Waakye is undoubtedly the most famous and well-patronised delicacy enjoyed by people from all walks of life.
To sustain the cult role it plays in the eating culture of Ghanaians, Too Much has called out those trying to modernise the way it’s packaged and sold to elites.
In a video shared on Twitter, the actor who was probably aiming the warning at Reggie Rockstone who started selling Waakye in jars, noted that the food tastes great when it’s sold in a dirty environment.

He also said the traditional way of serving the meal in leaves with its customary accompaniment like wele, gari and macaroni should be maintained and not the variation some people have introduced.
