Ex-Egypt international Ahmed Hossam Mido has caused a great stir after he snubbed Ghana’s legendary player Abedi Pele in his top 5 Greatest African players of all time.

Abedi had an illustrious career with the Black Stars and at the club level. He went on the become first African player to win the African Best Player award three times in a row.

However, the former Tottenham striker still thinks that is not enough to earn him a spot on his list.

Mido also snubbed compatriot Mo Salah despite his devasting form for Liverpool since he arrived from Italy.

The 39-year-old shared his on Twitter: “For me, the best five players in the history of Africa are George Weah, Didier Drogba, Samuel Eto’o, Hossam Hassan, and Jay-Jay Okocha.”
