A level 100 student of the University of Cape Coast (UCC) has passed away few days after she was knocked down by a Sprinter bus, management of the school has announced.
Priscilla Owusu Achia, a level 100 Bachelor of Commerce (Human Resource Management) student was knocked down by a speeding Sprinter bus on April 10 2021 when she was out with friends.
According to a statement from the school signed by the University’s Director of Public Affairs, Major Kofi Baah-Bentum (Rtd.), “Priscilla was in the company of her friends to buy some food items when the Sprinter bus which was overtaking another car knocked her.”
“The incident happened on Saturday, April 10, 2021, and she passed on Tuesday, April 13, 2021, at about 11.30 am.”
The family of the bereaved has been contacted while the school has expressed and extended condolence to the family following the unfortunate incident.
