The majority leader of Parliament Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu yesterday in Parliament clashed with the Speaker of Parliament Alban Bagbin.
The majority leader Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu clashed with the speaker of Parliament because the speaker had relaxed certain rules governing Parliament.
According to the Majority Leader, the Speaker suggested that Members of Parliament speak from designated seats so he could easily identify them.
However, as time passed by the speaker relaxed the rules.
Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu encouraged the speaker not to relax the rules but enforce them and be consistent about it.
The speaker of Parliament Alban Bagbin responded putting Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu in his place.
According to the Speaker, Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu is not the leader of Parliament, he’s just the leader of Government business in the house and the leader of majority.
He added that as being the speaker of Parliament he hasn’t gotten there yet.
