2010 World Cup star Kelvin Prince Boateng has said he was ready to offer his services to the Black Stars but he was not included in the final squad representing the country in Cameroon.

The former Black Stars forward made the comment on Twitter shortly after Black Stars lost to Morocco in the Gropu C opener of their 2021 AFCON.
Prince Boateng who currently plies his trade for German Bundesliga side Hertha Berlin said Ghana should have invited him for biennial showpiece but he was overlooked.

Meanwhile, captain of the side, Dede Ayew has explained that he was unwell a few days before the AFCON commenced.
“I have not been feeling well for the past two days, I wanted to play, my colleagues wanted me on the pitch and I did everything because I have been waiting for this for three years now, we lost and I was unlucky to add a cut on my eye to it,” Ayew disclosed.
Eventually, the former Swansea star failed to glitter and was conspicuously absent from the cagey encounter with the Morrocons which saw Sofiane Boufal pounce on a loose ball to score the only goal in the 83rd minute.
Ayew is still beaming with optimism about his team’s progression to the next stage of the competition despite the huge setback initiated by the Moroccans.
“I think we can get through and we will get through cos it is our duty and we will make sure we qualify to the next stage.
“We lost the first game in 2010, 2015 but we pulled through. We were not expecting this start but we will make it,” he added.
Ghana could make amends when they face Gabon and Comoros on Januray 14 and 18 respectively.
