Sam George, a member of parliament for Ningo Prampram and the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has asked for LGBTQI billboards on the Accra-Tema motorway to be taken down.
He said that the city officials in the area have 24 hours to take these signs down.
In a statement, the NDC lawmaker said that this operation should be led right away by the Inspector General of Police (IGP).
“We are asking the Inspector General of Police to make sure that this billboard, which goes against the Constitution, is taken down in the next 24 hours by working with the MCE for the area and doing the security work that is needed.”

One of the people behind the Anti-LGBTQI Bill that is currently in the house says that it is against the law to advertise the practice outside.
“Over the weekend, we learned about an illegal act that goes against Articles 11 and 26 of the Ghanaian Constitution, which talk about Ghana’s cultural sovereignty. Along the highway, we saw a billboard that advertised the activities of the LGBTQ community.

“As sponsors of the bill before Parliament and as members of Parliament who represent the hopes and wishes of Ghanaians, we thought it was important to come here today to show how much we dislike, dislike, and hate this unholy, uncultural, and untraditional advertisement that has been put up on this road.”
This week, the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) said that it will vote against any motion in Parliament if the anti-LGBTQI bill isn’t passed soon.
