The Western Regional Police Command has placed a GH¢10, 000 bounty on the head of the armed robbers who robbed, shot and killed a 61-year-old Ghanaian based in Switzerland, Charles Korankye.

Yesterday, our outlet reported the death of 61-year-old Charles who was shot dead whiles visiting his site to complete a building project.
The deceased, Charles Korankye and his wife, Monica Nda aged 45 returned to the country barely two weeks ago to finish their building project only to be met with this tragic incident.
The robbers gave several warning shots to scare passersby before shooting the deceased and inflicted severe gunshot injuries on his wife.
They absconded with his bag containing a sum of GHC12,000 and some foreign currencies.
Addressing the media on Wednesday, the Western Regional Police Commander DCOP Felix Fosu Agyeman said the bounty will be given to any individual or group that will provide credible information leading to the arrest of the robbers
He, however, cautioned residents to be security conscious in their daily activities.
“We have intensified our operations after the recent armed robbery attacks, we have increased both day and night patrols. We have also adopted stop and search of both motorbikes and vehicles while urging them to cooperate with the police,” Commander DCOP Felix Fosu Agyeman said.
