Parents Of Dreadlock Students Are Suing Achimota School For Denying Their Kids Admission — Thedistin

The parents of the two dreadlock students have decided to sue Achimota School for denying their kids admission.

A few days ago, two students with dreadlocks were denied admission to the Achimota School upon their arrival at the school premises.

According to the Assistant Headmistress of Achimota School, the kids won’t be admitted because of their style of hair.

It was reported that only if they cut their hair will there be given admission

Ghana Education Service then issued directive to Achimota School instructing them to admit the students with dreadlocks.

However, the Achimota School held their grounds and rejected the directive.

Later, after an hour of meeting between the GES, Headmistress of Achimota School and the parents of the students with dreadlocks, GES withdrew its directive and Achimota School still insist on their stands.

In the latest development of the whole issue, the parents of the two students denied admission at Achimota School are taking the matter to head.

According to them, the actions of Achimota School is an act of discrimination.
