Tereo Marhguy, the father of the Rastafarian student at Achimota School who said his son hit him, has said he’s sorry for making the matter public.

He says he sent the now-viral video of bloody bruises on his hand to a few close friends for advice, but it got out on social media.

Tereo Marhguy told Citi News that the same thing won’t happen again after his family met with Child Rights International to talk about the accusations and threats he made.

“Everything that happened shouldn’t have taken place. We should calm down and figure it out. It’s too bad that it got out and made people think what they think.

In a video that was shared on social media, the father could be seen with bloody bruises on his hand. He said that after an argument, his son had hurt him.

Tereo Marhguy told Citi News about the event.

“He was supposed to fix a tablet for his sister, but he was still sitting there watching TV an hour later when they were done. I went in and asked what was going on with Tyrone.

“He said mean things about his sister and unplugged the laptop. He walked up to me, and I told him I was going to slap him. He grabbed my hand, and as we fought back and forth, I got blood all over.”
