“I Couldn’t Defend Npp Anymore On Corruption So I Stopped Talking On Radio” – Former NPP MP Confesses

Former Member of Parliament for the Obuasi Constituency and a top member of the ruling New Patriotic Party has revealed why he went of the scenes on radio and television.

In an interview with Bismark Brown on Oyerepa Breakfast Time show on Monday monitored by Ghbase.com, the former lawmaker indicated that it got to a time he couldn’t give explanations to certain actions taken by his government.

According to him, he stopped defending the NPP on the traditional media because the party struggled in fighting against corruption.

He conceded that he gets confused when asked about President Akufo Addo’s commitment to fighting corruption.

Under Mahama I realized some of his relatives and wife had control so we were hitting them hard, criticizing, calling them thieves because of corruption. When we (NPP) came to power, our boys followed the same trend so I decided not to talk again because when it comes to corruption, I couldn’t defend my party anymore”, Mr. Edward lamented.

In other news, a young and unidentified man who is bus conductor stole his master, the driver’s phone and after he was caught, they decided to beat the hell out of him in the full glare of the public.

A video shared by GhOne TV on their Instagram page shows the moment the young boy cried and wailed in pain as two men lashed him on his back whilst residents of the area who were gathered watched on.

Media personality and Manager of GhOne TV, has reacted to the video and she has called on Ghana Police to arrest the people for assaulting the man.
