Dr. Nyaho-Tamakloe slams ‘useless’ officiating in Super 2 clash – Citi Sports Online

Hearts of Oak Board Member, Dr. Nyaho Nyaho-Tamakloe, has blasted referee Ken Paddy for his performance in the Super Two clash between Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak on Sunday.

Asante Kotoko claimed all three points thanks to a contentious penalty decision early in the first half, which was dispatched easily by Etouga Mbella.

The decision to hand Kotoko a penalty has split opinion since, but Dr. Nyaho-Tamakloe was incensed by the decision.

“The referee today was very useless. If this is the level of officiating we are going to witness from our referees, we will call for foreign referees to games like this.

“There was no penalty there to take,” he said on Accra based Angel FM after the game.

Hearts of Oak are said to have officially written to the Ghana FA about their displeasure at the performance of referee Paddy, and a response from the FA is due on the coming days.

The win took league leaders, Kotoko, a further 16 points clear of rivals Hearts of Oak in 6th place.
