Madam Ama Busia a former member of the Council of State has described the Vice President of Ghana Dr. Mahamudu Bawumi as a Gem.
According to her, the Vice President of Ghana has proven himself beyond reasonable doubt that his competence is unmatched.
She indicated that prior to the coming of the New Patriotic Party to power in 2017, the party through its flagbearer had made various promises which she saw as overly ambitious and not workable.
However, the selection of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and his use of his intellect and experience made the work easier for the President of Ghana Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
“I have belief in him. For a Vice President to have worked this way, I’m pleased with him. He has made the work easier for Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo. Now the President focuses on the political side then he works on the economy of the country. He has a solid team and the work they have done is commendable,” Ama Busia said in an interview on Okyeman TV restreamed by MyNewsGh.com.
Recounting Dr. Bawumia’s display at the supreme Court after the 2012 election, Madam Ama Busia said she was not shocked by the display of intelligence by the then Running mate of Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
“At the Supreme Court, he was examined in the docks for over one month. Whatever he was asked, he was able to provide answers to and backed his answers with evidence and documents. He was not like some people who say they left their documents at home.
