A HUGE thanks to the surgeons, doctors and hospital staff for making the process more relaxed than I thought it would be! Grateful for a successful procedure and an ongoing smooth road to recovery. Happy to be able to share my story. 🙏🏾”

Her post was met with ‘speedy recovery messages’ from her fans and well-wishers.

Now, for the first time, the ‘Take Care of You’ hitmaker has explained how she discovered that she had fibroid and how she got it removed through surgery.

Speaking in an interview with Mid Affairs Show Host, Kwame Insaido, on Uniiq FM 95.7, said she discovered she had a fibroid in 2020.

“I found out late last year”, she said.

She said that she realized her tummy was becoming big no matter how she tried to keep it flat.

Alarmed by the situation, she decided to visit the hospital for a check-up where she was told that she has a ‘huge fibroid’.

Adina remarked that after the first doctor diagnosed her, she consulted another doctor in another hospital who confirmed what the first doc said.

“I went to a different hospital to do another scan and they also confirmed it. And that explains everything cos I’ve been trying to shake this stomach and it has not been going”, she added.

Adina said it was there and then that she decided to undergo surgery.

The songstress also revealed that her sister had the same problem and she was there to assist her to undergo the surgery in 2017, hence, it was easy for her to also gather the courage to have hers removed.

Kwame Insaido asked if she wasn’t afraid of undergoing the surgery and in reply, she said she went through phases of counselling, thus, making her become less nervous.

Adina noted that the reason why she decided to share her experience publicly is that she wanted to encourage others out there by raising awareness about it.
